LAVERNE DIXON
Mrs. Dixon joined Community Outreach in Action in 2014 to provide administrative support. She works alongside the Board of Directors to coordinate strategy development and implementation. We benefit from her 20+ years of administrative experience in human resources and accounting positions. A brief synopsis of Mrs. Dixon education:

-
Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Saint Leo University.
-
Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Administration from Saint Leo University.
-
Master of Management in Human Resources Management from University of Phoenix.

With her training and management skills Mrs. Dixon is able to provide clerical support by completing monthly reports, compile various forms and flyers for special events; and lead volunteer/coordinator for special projects such as the snack pack program, seniors, and other special projects. Mrs. Dixon is able to enhance her skills and staying in compliance of the United States Department of Agriculture by attending training at the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

As a young girl, growing up in a rural town she watched her mother giving a helping hand to whomever needed it without question. She said these acts of kindness reminded her of an old wise quote; “It is better to be seen than to be heard.” This is just one of the reasons she enjoys leading a hand to others. COIA is incredibly proud to have Mrs. Dixon on our team!
